17thOctober – 8th November 2009; the restaurants associated to the Regional Slovenian Economic Association invite you to discover the »Flavours of Carso«. The initiative, conceived to promote the typical Carso cuisine, will involve 17 restaurants, 13 of which are located in the Trieste area and 4 in the surroundings of Gorizia. Here you will have the opportunity to taste the typical Carso cuisine and enjoy its excellent sweet specialities, this year dedicated to fruit.
Typical products and above all typical dishes. High quality wines (Malvasia, Terrano, Vitovska, Glera), noble olive oil, genuine cheese of the Carso region and other typical products will be an excellent supplement to the dishes you can taste at the restaurants. In addition to bread and cakes produced by traditional bakeries, local products will be on sale at restaurants and groceries in “typical product corners”. Food & wine evenings and cultural events will also be organized.
